Essential Qualifications
To be eligible for the Project Associate-I role, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- MVSc in Veterinary Pathology or any discipline within Veterinary & Animal Sciences, or
- MSc in Biotechnology or Life Sciences
Candidates who possess these qualifications are encouraged to apply, as this is the minimum requirement for eligibility.
Emoluments
The selected candidate will receive an emolument of Rs. 25,000 per month, along with any additional benefits as applicable under the DST-SERB / SKUAST-J guidelines. Please note that the post is purely temporary and is linked to the duration of the project.
Terms and Conditions

- Temporary Position: The post is temporary and contractual, terminating with the conclusion of the project. The candidate will not be eligible for regularization.
- No Right to Regular Appointment: Candidates cannot claim any permanent appointment or regularization after the project ends.
- Right to Withdraw: The university or funding agency reserves the right to withdraw the position at any time without providing a reason.
- No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the interview.
- Shortlisting Criteria: The Screening Committee may limit the number of interview candidates based on the qualifications and experience outlined in the application. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email/phone for interview details.
- Experience Certificate: If employed, candidates must submit a “No Objection” certificate and experience certificate from their current employer.
- Location of Interview: Interviews will be conducted at the Directorate of Research, SKUAST-Jammu, Chatha, Jammu. No separate intimation will be provided for the interview.
