The Department of Microbiology at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has invited applications for the recruitment of staff under the Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) project. Important Note on Qualifications:

• The qualifications for the above roles will be counted as of the last date for submission of the application, which is 20th February 2025.
• The candidate must hold a valid registration with MCI, SMF, or PMC, as applicable.
• Candidates with a M.Sc. Life Sciences or PhD in Biotechnology should have a degree from a recognized university.

2. Application Process

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply:

1. Download the Application Form:
   • Candidates must use the prescribed format for their application.
2. Required Documents:
   • Self-attested copies of the following documents must be attached with the application:

3. Terms and Conditions

The recruitment process will be governed by the following terms:

1. Contract Duration:
   • The appointment will be purely contractual for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance, continuation of the project, and budget grants from funding agencies.
2. Termination and Notice Period:
   • The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the contract without assigning a reason.
   • The candidate must give one month’s advance notice before resigning from the post.
   • In case of termination, the candidate will receive one month’s advance remuneration in lieu of notice.
3. No Regularization:
   • The contractual appointment does not entitle the candidate to claim any regularization or extension beyond the contractual term.
4. Leave Entitlement:
   • Leave, travel, and other benefits will be governed by the prevailing rules.
5. Verification of Documents:
   • The selected candidate must report within 7 days from the date of the selection list announcement to verify original documents.
6. Execution of Agreement:
   • The selected candidate will have to sign a contract stating they will not claim for regular appointment or extension in the future.
7. Affidavit Requirement:
   • An affidavit, duly attested by a 1st-class magistrate, must be submitted by the candidate stating that they will abide by all terms and conditions and will not claim regularization in the future.

9. Waiting List Preference:
