The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in line with the Mission Poshan initiative, is seeking applications for the engagement of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers, AWWs) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers, AWHs) at Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) in the Poshan Project area of Gool. The positions are being offered on an honorarium basis. This recruitment aims to ensure a better functioning of Anganwadi Centres and enhance the delivery of services for child nutrition and welfare.

Eligibility Criteria for Selection of Sanginis (AWWs)

To be eligible for the position of Sangini (Anganwadi Worker), candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Requirement

  • Women between the ages of 18-37 years as of 01-01-2025 will be considered.

2. Domicile

  • The candidate must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

3. Residential Criteria

  • The candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
  • The voter list will be used as proof of residence. If the candidate’s name is in the voter list with her parents, she must submit a certificate of being unmarried from the concerned Tehsildar.
  • In case of a dispute regarding residency, a residence proof certificate from the concerned SDM/ACR will be required.

4. Educational Qualification

  • Minimum: 10+2 pass.
  • Maximum: Graduation.
  • In case no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, candidates from neighboring wards can be considered, subject to approval from the Mission Director, Mission Poshan.

5. Merit-Based Selection

  • Selection will be based purely on marks obtained in 10+2, with no other criteria being considered.
  • In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given to the candidate with the higher age.

6. Family Member Preference

  • If an eligible candidate belongs to the family of a retiring Anganwadi Worker or Helper, they will get an additional 2% weightage.

Eligibility Criteria for Selection of Sahayikas (AWHs)

The selection of Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas) will be governed by the following criteria:

1. Age Requirement

  • Women aged 18-37 years as of 01-01-2025 will be eligible.

2. Domicile

  • The candidate must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir.

3. Educational Qualification

  • Minimum: Matriculation (10th pass).
  • If no matriculate candidates are available in the ward, candidates who have passed at least 8th standard can be considered.

4. Selection Based on Merit

  • Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard.

5. Marital Status Criteria

  • Married women from the ward will be given preference. If no married candidates are available, unmarried women can be considered.

Required Documents for Sanginis (AWWs)

Candidates applying for the position of Sangini (AWW) need to submit the following documents along with their application:

  1. Domicile Certificate – Proof of residence.
  2. Date of Birth Certificate – Proof of age.
  3. Qualification Certificates – Mark sheets, certificates as applicable.
  4. Electoral Panch/Municipal Ward Certificate – Issued by the concerned Block Development Officer or Electoral Officer.
  5. Unmarried Certificate – Issued by the concerned Tehsildar (if applicable).
  6. Engagement/Relieving Order of Retiring AWW/AWH – If the applicant is a family member of a retiring Anganwadi Worker/Helper.
  7. E-Ration Ticket – Category and family details.
  8. Affidavit – An affidavit sworn before a Judicial Magistrate, stating the candidate does not possess qualifications higher than graduation.

Required Documents for Sahayikas (AWHs)

Candidates applying for the position of Sahayika (AWH) need to submit the following documents:

  1. Domicile Certificate – Proof of residence.
  2. Date of Birth Certificate – Proof of age.
  3. Qualification Certificates – Matriculation certificate or equivalent.
  4. Electoral Panch/Municipal Ward Certificate – Issued by the concerned Block Development Officer or Electoral Officer.
  5. Unmarried Certificate – Issued by the concerned Tehsildar (if applicable).
  6. Income Certificate – Issued by the concerned Tehsildar.
  7. E-Ration Ticket – Category and family details.

Application Submission Process

  1. Prescribed Application Form: The candidates are required to fill out the prescribed application form.
  2. Submission: The completed application forms along with all the required documents must be submitted to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Poshan Gool during office hours.
  3. Deadline: Applications must be submitted by the specified deadline (on or before 4:00 PM on the cut-off date).

The application form should be submitted against proper receipt.
